Dear NOMO AG Students,

Summer Camp 2024 is just around the corner, and we are excited to share with you an opportunity with our camping program. The NOMO Next Gen Department - led by Pastor Ryan Christopher has developed an internship for senior high students to invest part of their summer at Lake Maurer to help with our district camping season. Limited to students ages 16-18, the Lake Maurer Summer Internship will be different in summer 2024 than any summer before. The internship will be split into 2 separate 3 week internships. The first 3 week internship will start will begin Wednesday, May 29th, and will conclude Saturday, June 22nd. The second 3 week internship will begin Friday June 21st, and will conclude on Saturday July 13th. Below are some important details:

•••Housing and meals will be provided by Lake Maurer Retreat Center.

The interns will stay in camp housing on the grounds. Either Pastor Ryan or Pastor Josh Emmons will be at the campground for the duration of the internship and stay on the grounds with the students. Monday-Friday meals will be provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner.)

•••The interns will help prepare the campground for the district camping season.

This includes (but not limited to): basic cleaning, lawn maintenance, painting, moving equipment, and organizing supplies. As well as serving as camp staff during camp.

•••The interns will have an every morning chapel and devotional routine.

The Chapel services will be led by Pastor Ryan.

•••The interns will engage as a servant team during Girl's Ministries, Youth and Kids Camp weeks.

They will help with team leadership for games, help with game prep, and have duties during free time. They will also help with evening services, and help with the snack shack.

•••There is a minimal cost of $150.00 for the internship.

Anyone who participates in this program does not pay to participate in any 2023 NOMO Next Gen summer camps!

•••The Summer Internship is limited to 16 individuals no more than 8 students per 3 weeks.

The Internship is based on an application process (with approval of your lead/youth pastor.) The application process will include reference checks and a zoom interview with the internship program staff. You will know if you are accepted into the internship program by May 1st, 2024.
